Developed a website for a video production company - Electro Productions Inc (electroproductions.com) using PHP, HTML, Bootstrap and JQuery

Developed an openssl scanner that makes SSL/TLS connections to Alexa’s top 1 million websites to check for recently discovered SSL vulnerability (https://drownattack.com) and writes the result to a CSV file. A JAVA program dumps the data from the CSV file to PostgreSQL database and this is used to perform the survey.

Developed a basic Port Scanner application that supports IPV4 address space and scans TCP ports by TCP SYN, NULL, FIN, XMAS, ACK scans; UDP ports by UDP scan. Packets that are transmitted between the end systems are created and analyzed manually. Also, raw sockets were used to send/receive packets to/from target host.

Developed a WireShark like application that takes a pcap file as an input and prints out the following details onto the output screen

• Summary of the packets in the pcap file - minimum, maximum and average packet size, duration of packet capture.
• Summary of the Link Layer - source and destination ethernet addresses.
• Summary of the Network Layer - unique ARP participants for ARP packets, unique source and destination ip addresses for IP packets.
• Summary of Transport Layers - unique source and destination port numbers for TCP and UDP packets, unique ICMP types and codes.

Designed and developed a basic bit torrent client where a seeder (client that uploads the file) acts as a seeder only and a leecher (client that downloads the file) acts as a leecher only. This client parses the Bencoded torrent file, completes the handshake procedure and sends file over the network, to another client, using the Bit Torrent Protocol. This project supports single seeder, multiple leecher i.e. multiple clients can connect to a single seeder and download the file.

Developed a basic file transfer application that performs:

• Transfers messages/files across the network by dividing the data into chunks of 512 bytes.
• Computes the HMAC and appends it to data before transfer so as to check the integrity of the transferred data.

Developed a Tic Tac Toe game (in Python) where a human player plays with a computer. The computer plays with some intelligence in such a way that

• It can try to win if there is a chance of getting three 'X' (or 'O') in a row
• It can block the human player from winning
• Checks if the human player has a chance of creating a fork and blocks it.
• Checks if it can create a fork.

Developed a 2D spacecraft based android game as per the requirements and design provided by the peer team as part of Software Engineering course.

Developed an image retrieval system in which a query image is compared with the images in the database, based on content i.e. color feature, texture feature and fusion of color-texture features.

• In Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) by Color Feature, the three dimensional feature vectors, Hue (H), Saturation (S) and Value (V) are converted to a one-dimensional feature vector and these values are compared to retrieve the similar images.
• In CBIR by Texture Feature, Gray Level Co-occurrence Matrix (GLCM) and Color Co-occurrence Matrix (CCM) are obtained. Entropy is calculated for each of these matrices and this value is compared to retrieve similar image from the database.
